Nothing from California EDD or change on the account for PEUC. I know we will get it and retro to the first of week of April.
The fact that the Labor Secretary would not even expand on the rollout of the 13-week extension was concerning.
It seems she was afraid to give any timeframe.

Looked at Reddit, Care Mega thread on state status. Minnesota has been up and it shows how they integrated into your existing claim. Interesting

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development announced Wednesday that the agency has fully implemented the Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation.

PEUC provides a 13 week extension of unemployment benefits for eligible applications. The measure was authorized by Congress in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), which was signed into law on March 27.

But it's actually going to let me file a new claim under my current login. It's never allowed me to start a new claim.

I'm not feeling very hopeful today.

CA doesn't even have enough money to cover the claims they already have. Maybe that's why they are stalling on the 13 weeks.

I guess the good news is those of you applying for PUA, will actually start getting the money within 48 hours (from what she promised). So fingers crossed for all of you.

But do we know they for sure have the money in hand? They might be using it for PUA right now or to cover the regular UI claims. Maybe there wasn't enough left to supply PEUC. And we know they don't have the money to lay out.

I don't know, I'm just very discouraged today. I haven't received a letter and my UI account in the same. I don't even know if I qualify at this point.

true. robbing Peter to pay Paul. kind of like stealing from your grocery money envelope to pay the gas/electric bill. oh boy i'm dating myself.. actually i remember my mother and the money envelopes for each bill category. no money left in the grocery envelope meant no milk for the rest of the week until the envelope was reloaded the following pay period
