When I was in York it wasn't much different to Somerset. Most of Yorkshire averages between 20 and 22C in the warmest month. Its just that days of 30C and above are pretty rare whereas they happen every year in the South East.

In my opinion Portsmouth has the best Summers in the UK. Or certainly that part of the South coast.

I have to agree with her. I'm an asthma sufferer as well and I got the flu both times I was in SE UK in winter. For me it needs to be above 60°F or below 40°F for me not to get sick and trigger my asthma. Dry weather doesn't help me much, so I'm in one of the better climates for my health. Any climate beginning with a B in it is not good for me lol

Don't you get flu injections in the US? I have mine every year so I've never had the flu.

I've never had flu and don't have the jab. Sounds like someone just has a weak immune system.

We do, but I never get one. I haven't gotten the flu in the US for over 6 years since I stopped taking the jab. It's the dampness and mild weather in the UK winter that kills me, whereas here in winter it's bone dry and around or below freezing and sunny

Really?! Your immune system must be terrible. Either that or your injection has milk in it.

The worst injection I had was for yellow fever, I thought my arm was gonna fall off

York is a darn bit further south than me.
And average high is 21c 18c here and nowhere in scotland or ni has a high of 21c. So yea..
And 30c is the record high here how many times does london reach 30c a year? Several times infact it reaches 32c or more some years.

We dont exceed 24c some years.
