Case's Food Reviews: Installment Nine

My goodness, it's been too long.

In this installment, I'm only going to feature one restaurant this time around. It's one that I've been meaning to get to for some time, and this past weekend, I have finally given it a try. On Friday, after arriving in Houston to start a brief trip, I stopped in the suburb of Pearland, just to the south of there. Barbecue in Southeast Texas awaited your writer. As always in these visits, I rate with the star system (1-Very...

Polls Mean Nothing -- And Stop Believing The Liberal Media

Posted 08-08-2016 at 07:57 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

It's summer now. I can tell when I look at the calendar. I look for a real sense of summer on those odd days that I'm home mid afternoon. I listen for it through the sounds of cicadas and distant tuck traffic mid evening. I sometimes think I catch a faint whiff on a breeze, but I'm never sure. It's mostly just long hot days and the absence of kids at bus stops in my neighborhood as I leave for work. I see kids at the bus stops during the school year, but I seldom see them any where or any time...

My story.

Posted 08-08-2016 at 02:06 PM by geekigurl

I knew at a very young age I should have been born with a female body. I could never put that into words, that concept at the time was not known to me. I was raised in a strict Christian environment, and having these thoughts were sinful, and the worst kind of wrong. At least that is what I heard in church. I internalized this sentiment, and it grew into a fierce hatred, most directed at myself. I prayed to God to make this go away. I prayed for that a lot. I couldn't be a girl, that was ...
