Last Thursday the high was cloudy 47 and the low 24. Starting to warm up again and should be low 80's this week with nights 28-33. It does get cold at night here in the fall and winter.

I haven't been on here for a while but thought I would drop in and see if anyone went to the grand opening of the restoration of the Gleeson Jail? I still own the lock that was on the front door of the jail which has been in our family for many, many years! If you haven't been to the Gleeson Jail website, you oughta take a look at the link that follows and take a look at the biographical sketches also as one of them involves my grandfather's oldest brother! Take a look at this site: A website devoted to the ghost town of Gleeson, Arizona. . This past summer I took my grandson down in that area for a long weekend and took him to the Wonderland of Rocks and up Turkey Creek where my great grandmother homesteaded in the early 1900's. Got to see a lot of deer up Turkey Creek and see that they have a turkey restoration project going on up there as well. My nephew lives in Sunizona and has 4 acres with a modular home on it that he plans to sell and build a new home on the other 4 acres where he has built a shop. Anyone have questions about that area feel free to contact me at priceracing@cox.net.

More info . . .
Pearce/Sunsites/Sunizona/Richland all share the same zipcode (85625 for some reason CD hasn't give it it's own real page, if you search by zip you can get some data . . .) and the same Post Office, which was moved to the village of Sunsites (I assume because that is where the most people live, about 650 houses) from the old original location in "Old Pearce" on the corner of Ghost Town Trail & Pearce Road.

Yeah, we were down in early October for a short stay and I noticed it was fairly dry on our land in the J-6 area. One day and drove to Willcox then headed down 186/181 to the 191 junction south of Sunsites. From there we headed south on 191 towards Douglas before cutting over to Tombstone at McNeal. It was the first time we'd gone down that far (south of the 181/191 junction). Even with the drought I was surprised at how green it was down there. Lots of what looked like very productive farmland along 191 down there.
