Unless the Dodgers channel their inner Yankees it's unlikely the Astros are going to catch them for best record in MLB. My focus is on holding second best record in MLB in case the Mets or Braves knock off the Dodgers.

Houston, right now, just needs to have their offense click. It didn't last night, and a valiant pitching performance by Luis "Salsa" Garcia was wasted. They need to get their mojo back before they come back home for some home cooking.

They were listening to you .

It’s 5-0 Astros in the third today (and the Yankees are leading 2-0 in the 9th of their game).

And the temperature at the start of the game was higher than at the start of any game in the history of Anaheim Stadium……102 degrees.

Now, if I could package that "messaging" in the playoffs (and, perhaps, the World Series), then I'd probably make a million....

And they added more, winning 9-1.

Didn’t give up any ground to the Yankees, who won 2-1……Judge’s 53rd made a difference.

And Pujols pinch hit in the Cards game and hit #695 …..one more to tie A-Rod, and two more to pass him.

At least they didn't hit double digits. That usually means they will score 2 runs over the next three games.

Well, look at it this way: It's a new month. Baseball's still a funny game, and anything can still happen.

Tonight, it's the Astros hosting the Rangers at Minute Maid. There's no reason this series, plus a series against the Angels, can't be easily won. Still, Houston must take care of business.
