The Astros swept the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field. They got a 5-2 win tonight, and now, it's on to Baltimore for a weekend series. Brief scare, however, as Jose Altuve was hit by a pitch in the elbow and had to come out of the game as a precaution. At present, he's day-to-day.
Verlander had a so called quality start….gave up 2 in 6 innings……but Bradish….a guy with a 3-7 record and an ERA over 5, pitched the game of his life and the Astros lost on Thursday night 2-0.

I believe its the 2nd time he shut them out this year
Urquidy gave up one (in the 4th) through 5 innings.
Urquidy left at 99 pitches in the 6th...24 pitches....1 out.
Abreu gets out of that jam...no runs score.
Then, in the 7th, Neris gives up 4 singles and a double in six batters to blow the game open.
6-0 Orioles, no outs, bottom of the 8th.
^^^^^ And that was the final....6-0.
The Yankees broke the tie in their game in the bottom of the 8th, and gained a game on the Astros.
The Dodgers will lose. They're behind 11-0, with the first 5 of those runs coming with Pujols' 434ft HR #699 and 399ft (to almost the same place) #700, the latter making it with just a bit to spare.
That stadium erupted like it was in St Louis. Nice to see fans cheer baseball achievement even if it isn't for their home team.
