There is a place on halsted and divison called Pronto Za best NY thin crust in chicago.
They use great quality ingredients, I cook for a living and it's the only pizza in town I eat
Trust me you will love it

My cheerleading team used to take an annual pilgrimage to Jenos East back in the mid-late 70's and they had the best pizza I ever tasted. I even went there to buy pies for my wedding party back in 89 and it was still great. This past summer I took my children there for the first time and it was god awful. The service was bad, the pizza was gross (different sauce and sausage)ugh! and to make it all worst I paid $70.00 for that crappy meal. I will be trying Connies or Giordanos next time I'm home!!

$70 for you and your kids? Wow, how many kids do you have? Better yet, how much do y'all weigh?
BTW - it is GINO'S EAST.
Be gone troublemaker.

I will agree that I've had some pretty rotten service there, but the pizza was yum yum.

We go to gino's east all the time in st. charles on north avenue. (they have a special on Monday and weds. nights a pizza and a pitcher for $16.00). Good service, good food. Deep dish and the thin crust there is good.

I like that one and the one in dowtown Wheaton. We've had great service at both, and the food was, as usual, excellent.

I have to agree the pizza at the connie's on archer does taste better. Don't know why. Roberto's in Elmhurst good. County Inn pizza in elmhurst good. Q's in hillside good.

You know, there's another name for this "Chicago-style thin crust" you mention....it is...what is it? Oh yeah. New York-style pizza!
(as a native New Yorker, I just couldn't help myself)
But, seriously, you can get good thin crust in Chicago. Not Grimaldi's or Defarra good, but very good, nonetheless. On the other hand, I don't think you can get good thick crust pizza in New York. I thought thick crust was garbage until I had it here. Still prefer the thin stuff, though.
In any case, I know what I'm having for dinner tonight.
