Maybe, I don't know that is just my theory. Is there anyone else out there who agrees with me?
So if its all pre set, why did God not make us all like Him all the time.

Now that would be kind of boring wouldn't it. I'm just saying that God knows what we are going to do so we really have no choice in the matter. Therefore our destiny is already set.

Allow me to expand on what I beleive. I in no way profess, by any extent of the imagination, to know that what I say is true. It is just how I feel. I only know of one other person who agrees with me. I think that we were all created by God and lived, as spirits, before we came to earth. Where we were some of us were good and others were not but we were to come to earth none the less. I think God knew who were good and not so good and he knew what was going to happen on earth. I do think that the only one that could change things is God but he stays out of the affairs of the world. Some say there are miracles that can only be attributed to God. I say yes that is true but they were also going to happen no matter what. I know that it sounds alien to many of you but please understand that is how I feel and I am in no way trying to make other think the way I do and I do respect the things that other feel and and beleive are true. So please accept mine and don't attack my point of view. We all have faults and thats just how things are, we can't change that.

Then there would be no freedom, and thats just not accurate. We are held accountable for our thoughts, our actions. If we had no ability to grow and learn then Jesus would never have taught us to go and sin no more. It would be a mockery to give us this calling and it not be possible.

As well, there is no where in scripture that accounts for this as truth.

godspeed,

freedom

Alexia319, I love your description! It is accurate and simple to understand.
For those of you who quote scripture, which you should, It is important to understand that scripture was not written with chapter #'s and verses #'s. Chapter and verse # was added by man many years after the inspired words were written.
With that said, I notice as a attempt to make a point, many will quote chapter and verse and I have no problem with that; however pulling a sentence or two from an entire paragraph or a written thought is not fare to the author, God himself. Use Gods word in context as it is intended. Read and understand the writing around the verse you are using to make your point. Also understand the period in which the writing was.
Example: As a teen, I had what some considered long hair, it touched my color and went over my ears. My Sunday school teacher, who i greatly respect and who impacted my life in a positive way, would tease me about my "long Hair" quoting the bible as his source...1 Corinthians 11:14 "Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?"
After a few of these teasings, I looked up the verse and read it in context, ignoring the verse numbers sense they tend to make us think each verse is a complete thought.
"...Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered? Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God. Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse..."

If I were to extrapolate anything from this, it would be that Men should not have long hair like or to look like a woman and women should not have short hair like or to look like a man.

My thoughts -

Default To Christians : Can you explain free will to me

IT is quite simple, really. By God's SOVEREIGN WILL . . . we have been given Dominion over the earth and it inhabitants, period, We cannot defy God's sovereign Will which controls everything. Dominion requires that we be free to make choices for good or evil. How could it be any simpler?

it seems as if our desire to be in control has also spread to our specific beliefs. Pre-destination, is predestined, and and free will is us wanting to be in control of everything, in order to feel powerful, and important. But predestination is basically showing God and all HIS power and Greatness. but we have a hard time accepting this , without wanting to feel like we control absolute everything. God has blessed us with all of our senses, and the intelligence to make decisions. Making decisions is a gift from God, and is not necessary a free will, its a gift. we just put a title on that. But back to the point that i was making before,we want to feel like we're in complete control unconsciously, but we must realize that God ultimately created all and still is. There are many little doctrines in the both sides of the story. For example, with free will, there is a fear and doctrines of heaven and hell, along with pride. But with all things being predestined, its simply accepting all that God has done, still is doing, and continue will be doing. If we research the scriptures on heaven and hell and find out what they really are, and eliminate them out of the equation; then we can easily come to the conclusion that God is truly sovereign

Along with these specific doctrines, we have developed theories, and is afraid, that we are nothing, and mean nothing . Even as christian,we hold onto these things, we developed out of fear, not love. sad to say, that these doctrines has been preached and taught to us, therefore, creating a humanly fear, and as a result, we develop beliefs, that pacifies our fear of hell. so we use God's word and change its meaning and interpretation, and put God's name on it. we then add or take away from God's mouth, and denounces that He is Sovereign.
