Actually, I've seen Berrien County in SW MI included in some definitions of Chicagoland, but for the most part it's just WI-IL-IN. I've never heard of it referred to as the Tri-State Area, but I have heard it referred to as Williana.

these "tiny little island countries that no one cares about" are indeed cared about and are a part of what makes up the u.s. and a part of what makes our cities so great, IMHO.

anyway, when ppl refer to the tristate area, 9/10 times they mean ny, nj, ct.

Japan tiny? Philippines? vietnam has 80 + million people.. comapared top PR what 3 or 4 million? hahahaha

gimme a break

+1

Its very insensitive to delegitimize entire groups of people just because you don't personally relate to their contribution and/or place in society.

Hopefully BayAreaNightmare understands your point.

Spoken like a true Tongan. But seriously, I agree with both of you. Why should it matter if you're from a huge country like China or a tiny one like Taiwan, when they're both unique and interesting places?

Yes they connect completely - closest point of the NY metro is 10.8 miles from the Philly city line - we get screwed on the population comparisons from the census

Anyone with a brain knows racial diversity is only a part of the equation when determining overall diversity, you're over thinking people's views.
