Well, that's not that helpful. I'll do Branford and New Haven instead because larger towns don't run into this issue.

Branford:
Bruins 1.1K
Rangers <1K
Islanders <1K

New Haven:
Bruins: 1.7K
Rangers: 1.1K
Islanders: 1.4K

Ok, now I'm curious if that Bruins plurality extends all the way to Fairfield.

Fairfield:
Bruins: 1.8K
Rangers: 2.2K (clearly not, and wow we have a lot of hockey fans!)
Islanders: 1.6K

Avon:
Bruins: <1K
Rangers: <1K
Islanders: <1K

Great. Trying WeHa instead.

West Hartford:
Bruins: 2K
Rangers: <1K
Islanders: <K

Yea, that makes sense. If even NH has a Boston plurality I'd expect the Hartford area to be solid Boston fans.

lol <1k thaks for that data though!

I found that hard to believe but he was retweeting a tweet from Audacy Sports. That’s amazing because Dunkin Donuts Park is a lot smaller than the ballparks the Marin’s and Rays play in and they are in much larger cities than Hartford. Impressive for Hartford, sad for Miami and Tampa. Jay

Who's going to Yard Goat games? everyone left the state.
What's sadder is that such an perfect ecomomic powerhouse state can't show up to support a first place MLB team and is outdrawn by a minor league team in a crime infested economically blighted democrat led state where everyone is fleeing.
The Goats would have attracted a better crowd at the Trop and given the Rays better competition than the dreadful Orioles.

The Arizona Coyotes lease ends after this season. The owner of Gila River Arena in Glendale, AZ said they will not allow the Coyotes to play there anymore after the season. They'll literally be a homeless team in a few months. Hartford is the largest metro in the country without a pro sports team. I think their best bet if they do approach the Coyotes is to tell them they'll do like $100 million in renovations to the XL Center as a "downpayment/investment" in the team. With a promise to build them a brand new arena within x number of years. Hartford is a stagnant city. A NHL team in the heart of DT Hartford would add life to the city once again and help CT as a whole.

Hartford is not the largest metro in the country without a pro sports teams. It in fact isn't even the largest metro in New England without a pro sports team as that would be Providence.

They could make a pitch but it's just going to fall on deaf ears. They and the league want an arena in Tempe.

Yard Goats are sold out every game. Lots of people go - after work crowd, families, guys and girls on dates…always quite a mix

Your hyperbole is pretty ridiculous. There are 1M+ people in greater Hartford, politics don’t matter in terms of minor league baseball attendance and the stadium is right off the interstate exit with plenty of lighting and police presence.

Thanks for your value add post tho
