After 1-1/2 wks of recovery, my appetite finally came back with a bang & I've probably eaten 3K calories since 7pm last night into this morning.

So, dinner's going to be a simple salad with organic iceberg lettuce & bell pepper with homemade lemon-oil dressing.

Still not recovered, so back to bed for me for a day long dozing-movie session.

Have a great Sunday, All.

I don't think I'm going to feel like cooking, so leftovers it is.

We're all recuperating from that ailment that's been going around, too. First "cold" I've had in over twelve years and was it nasty.

Today DH, Chef Daughter and I went to a Swedish meatball brunch at a local church. Poor Bachelor Son who was the one who originally was requesting the meatballs had to work.

The churches are having a hard time finding younger people to take up the traditions. Nearly everyone working in the kitchen was at least seventy and older. But the nice thing about that is that those people have had decades to fine tune their recipes and it was some of the best Scandinavian food I've had outside of the family in a long time.

We wanted to linger over coffee, rice pudding and cookies but, boy, were those old folks tired! They were clearing plates and sending out every possible nonverbal message that it was time to go home and have a nap. Can't blame them.

A nice brunch and lots of gracious, smiling people. We'll just snack tonight.

I made shaved steak with mushrooms and onions and a brown gravy, we had creamed spinach and what was left over of the potato wedges from KFC that we had last night.

Pizza on the grill tonight. Margherita, Porchetta with leeks, and Dogboa had 1 with the huge pepperoni and his spicy pizza sauce. Used no knead pizza dough I started yesterday.
