Sadly, a very nice neighbor, lost her battle with cancer today, leaving her husband, two grown daughters, one son, a HS senior, and two grandsons(12 and 10), who have lived with them since the death of her other son and his wife, in an accident. She was very active in community charity work; particularly supplying children with back to school needs, a charity that will now have her name.

I made a salmon, rice, and broccoli floret, casserole, a baked ziti, a fresh fruit salad and a chocolate Bundt cake. They've liked all three at neighborhood pot lucks. https://foodiechicksrule.com/lemony-...serole-salmon/

Made doubled everything, so that's what we'll be eating for the next few days. I an so sad for her husband and her children. She was only 62.

These things are always tragic, but especially hard before Christmas.

What a sad thing to happen any time, Sheena, but especially at this time of year. Kind of you to bring them dinner.

Tonight, also tired of baking, we're having baked potatoes, Thanksgiving turkey and dressing, some green beans DH froze last Fall. If Bachelor Son shows up I may make some gravy. Poor DH doesn't get any unless there's enough eaters to justify it and BS is an eater!

Hah! Look at that - Bachelor Son's online initials are BS. Teehee. (Not gonna tell him.)

Movie night tonight - "Sully."

Making something with farro, onions and peas because that's what's in the house. Haven't given it much thought. We also have half of a cubano sandwich from lunch.

I'm sorry to hear about your neighbor Sheena. I'm sure her family is proud that her good works will be acknowledged.

I'm sure the family will appreciate such tasty food as well.
