Anyhow, I've missed all of you. Tonight we will start off with tomato bisque. I tossed a rather large beef roast into the slow cooker along with vegetables this morning. I made fresh dinner rolls last night and an Italian cream cake for dessert. When I get home, I may also make garlic mashed potatoes.

I am so sorry to read this Praline.Thank God your husband is recovering at home with your care.Best wishes and healing thoughts your way.

Tonight leftover chickpea soup with chapatis, lassi and onion and tomato slices. For dessert 1/2 a pink grapefruit.

My husband took the day off today and we did our Christmas shopping. Who would have thought the stores would be so crazy busy on a Wednesday? We figured we deserved a meal out without children! We had a very late lunch/very early dinner. We went here https://www.oconnorsrestaurant.com/
Started with scotch eggs.

Scotch eggs on the inside!

I had a lamb pie and a Bass Ale.

The husband had shepherd's pie.

We brought enough home for a late night snack and breakfast!

So sorry about your hubby, Praline. I’m glad he is mending.

Tonight it’s a dinnerly meal. Really, it’s the most appetizing one we’ve had, although they are all fine. It’s italian sausage, roasted together with sweet potato, apple and onion, then tossed with a Dijon vinaigrette.

I ran around all day and need a lazy dinner.

I'm baking up some Delimex beef taquitos until crispy, which I will serve on a bed of lettuce and shredded cheese, with sides of salsa and sour cream.

Yet another in the parade of sliced honeycrisp apples, and shortbread cookies for dessert.

We ate out with friends and my meal was a 6oz NY strip, real mashed potatoes, and a garden salad with iced tea. Really good vanilla ice cream with a strawberry topping for dessert.

Glad your husband is on the mend Praline.

Tonight was mushroom and spinach omelettes. Husband cooked some home fries. Quick and simple this time of the year.
