I have a feeling that this thread is going to get really long....
The virus is nobody's fault, this is not 2008. Small business will be helped out just like the airlines and cruise ships im pretty sure. Aid for businesses were announced last night in the stimulus. No, everyone won't survive, but they probably wouldn't have before the virus.
You have to keep in mind that if stores can't pay rent and leases, then the shopping centers and landowners can't make any money and pay their fees either. It affects everybody. Have a little optimism, let April pass.
Not surprising. Columbia one closed in 2016. Knoxville location long gone too. Think they filed bankruptcy several years ago. Haven't eaten there since the 90's but liked it then.
Thanks. We’re probably gonna see a lot more of this over the next few months unfortunately.
Hopefully not. Maybe they were at the end of a lease and this was coming anyway. They have been through a bankruptcy and ownership changes last ten years. That Pelham@85 location is very visible from the interstate and has been good for many restaurants. They lasted a long time. Seems like eventually it would be a good building for another Italian chain like Bravo or Maggiano's
Can anyone remember the original (and various other) restaurants that were there on Beacon?
Joe's Crab Shack, Logan's and California Dreaming are the only originals, I think?
Obviously, the Hungry Fisherman..
But.. Chophouse '47 used to be Max and Erma's
Red Bowl, if I'm not mistaken, was a Stax.. And something before that.
There was a Tony Roma's there..
Stax/Red Bowl building was originally an Applebee's I believe.
Macaroni Grill and On The Border were built about the same time.
Really liked Max and Erma's and Tony Roma's
