But.. People are apparently being told they'll reopen in a couple of weeks.
Just talked to my buddy at Woodruff. Apparently Greenlight was paying rent to the Smiths, they stopped paying. The Smith have agreed to sell the property to a Grreenville dealership. GM had either sold the vehicles, or Greenlight is moving them. HE said thats what one of the family members told him.

That makes some sense. And.. Smart on the Smiths for maintaining ownership of the land and renting it back to Greenlight.

I just did a Google search on Greenlight Automotive, it shows a dealership in Brunswick, GA that is marked as Permanently Closed. Not sure it's the same people.

The only Greenvilly Chevy dealership I know of is Whitaker. Of course, doesn't necessarily mean it'll be sold to a another Chevy dealer..

Its weird, the property is showing as being owned by TAG LLC in Florida.

I know there have been 2 vent hood fires, but easily contained by the fire system on the hood. Only one closed them down for any length of time, and that was only 2 or 3 days. Istopped going there since the remodel, so it maybe soe=mething else has happened I dont know about?

BK seemed better to me in the 80s and 90s. I didn't eat there for a long time. Tried it again a few years ago and it was awful.

I think it depends on the one you go to. Like a lot of places these days they seem to be hit or miss. It's hard to think of a fast food chain that's consistent across all locations other than CFA. Last time I went to the BK across from Cherrydale (a few months ago) the food was fresh and the service was on point. The one on 25 near Donaldson Center is usually not bad either.

Aren't BK, Popeye's and Firehouse Subs all still under the same corporate umbrella?

Just noticed a few things today.. I needed to stop at a Walmart, so stopped in Simpsonville on my way home..

1) Five Guys is closed. Looks like for a remodel or something?

2) The Outback.. Is gonna be tiny. I mean.. It looks like good luck getting a table in there on a weekend.

I found this which explains why. They have introduced a smaller prototype with front and back enhancements for growth in fill-in markets in Texas, Florida and other southern states. Guess less overhead is the biggest benefit.
