Haven't heard that but so many longtime businesses in GVL closing. Caterans Buffet on Wade Hampton the latest yesterday. Probably to make way for more $2000 a month shoe box apartments or storage units. Sad.

I don't know why it was open so long to begin with. I thought their food was pretty bland.
Most cafeterias and buffets are. They don't over season the food in many of those places but I guess a large percentage of their clientele prefer it that way.

If you want over seasoned food, go to the S&S. It is basically salt with a bit of food thrown in. Terrible.

I used to go there with some friends back in the day.. This is actually back when it was Carolina Sports and Spirits.
Yeah, when I was in a band in the late 90s/early 2000s we used to do the open mic nights on Wednesday. I haven't been there in a few years. It was ok. Not as hipster/too cool as Radio Room. Although, I spent most of my time back then at Ground Zero in Spartanburg. It has been there in some form or fashion since the 70s. My aunt used to go there when my mom's family first moved to Greenville.
