Thanks for the update.

We love it out here, I was one of the organizers for the trail expansion/upgrades.

What should I look for when I go back and are there any cool little restaurants in TR to hit?
There is a little bakery with $8-$10 sandwiches and $5 slices of pizza squares which looked like focaccia and were mostly bread. It is behind what looks to be an Antique store with rocking chairs on the porch out in front on the same side of the street as Sunrift but farther south. It might be close to what you are looking for. There is seating inside and out. I stopped there yesterday for directions. It looked like it had potential but seemed awfully expensive for what they were offering. Sorry I don't remember the name. I guess I wasn't impressed enough with it to bother committing it to memory.

Check out the Cafe at Williams Hardware or Leopard Forest. There is also a great hot dog place near both of these restaurants. They have a great turkey dog with turkey chili and a very good veggie dog.

Wow that sounds good! I don't eat red meat, so I'd love that!

I don't eat red meat either. I used to love a good hot dog, so when I found the turkey dog at Duke's Dog's @ Swoll's Place, and it was as good as any beef hot dog I have eaten, I fell in love with the place. Just make sure you ask for the turkey chili to go along with the turkey dog, topped with a very good slaw. It is wonderful.

There are rumors that a Pizza Hut, the authetic dine-in Pizza Hut, is coming to Travelers Rest near Walmart. Does anyone know if that is becoming a reality?

There's a fairly new one in Mauldin (< 2 years old). Hadn't seen one in years before moving here.
