If only I was a "regular" American, maybe my opinion would matter a little more.

Depends on what is going on and how you deal with it.

If someone is caught in the act of abusing a client/resident/patient a manager, supervisor or the director needs to be called, as well as the family of the victim. Then, the police are phoned. Some facilities will escort the perpetrator off the property before they phone the police, while others will try to keep them on the property until the police arrive. The incident must be recorded in the patient/client record as well as documented on an incident report sheet. From there it becomes a criminal offense before the courts. Some facilities will then report it to a county governing board, while others leave the choice to go that far up to the victims or their families.

If you witness or suspect abuse but have reason to believe that upper management won't deal with it appropriately, it is your duty to report it to the proper authorities and have an investigation started. Once it is reported someone from the agency will make unannounced surprise visits to the facility at different times throughout the day and night. They may also ask to interview other employees or ask for the names of witnesses. In some cases they will talk to the victim as well when they make these surprise visits. It is against the law to in any way prevent or impede these agents from speaking with the victim, and they must be allowed to observe the employees as they work their shift and tend to other residents/clients/patients. They will also be looking for other offences, such as general cleanliness and hygiene issues, inappropriate care, etc...

Let's say we imported ALL of the people in Mexico in the blink of an eye. Literally everyone in Mexico moved here, just like everyone's worst nightmare if we were to return to the immigration policies this country was founded on. What would the demographics of the USA look like?

I see. How often do you actually see successful prosecutions in those cases?

Or maybe, the endgame is exactly what we have today: a cool part of the city that looks different from the main grind and where I can find some really awesome food.

Just quoting this to read it again.
Get your head out of the past! That isn't true today. We don't discriminate against anyone who is here legally today. I can find every kind of ethinc food in restaurants all over the country. We don't want entire neighborhoods and towns taken over by a foreign group in order to enjoy such foods.

My reply was in regards to the suggestion that we should learn Spanish because of the growing Hispanic population. As I asked, since that "growing" is mostly due to illegal immigration and Hispanic-Americans know how to speak English, why should we learn Spanish? However, many employers are requiring Spanish in order to get a job in this country. If that isn't a demand then I don't know what is. No American should have to learn Spanish to accomodate illegal invaders on the job or anywhere else.

Some schools in the southwest are requiring that our students learn Spanish also. Why, since most Hispanic-Americans know English?

Nice try, but no cigar. Was that college degree required so that you can communicate with illegal invaders?

Because it's an advantage to know both, of course. I have a close friend who does business in LA. Now, you may feel like him learning Spanish is acquiescence, but he started learning it so that he could better attract clients, who want to feel as if their business partners are outgoing and interested in transacting.

You can't be denying that it's an advantage, right?
