If the person you just quoted were talking about Latinos instead of Caucasians would you still feel the same way? hmmmm

Sorry, but the official language of California is English and the defacto national language is English. Now go tell your amigos to learn English.

And by the way, most Mexicans coming here illegally are Mestizos (a mix of native indian and Spaniard), not full blooded native indians. Raped or not they are genetically what they are.

The tribal ancestors of the Mexicans never settled in the U.S. either so they have no claims on this country. Only those natives that were indigenous to this country do.

What would you call a group of people carrying guns, killing people, and having things THEIR way?

NOW they may NOT be carrying guns BUT this is the same thing. AN invasion! Invaders coming into YOUR house, eating YOUR food, taking YOUR mediations, watching YOUR tv, sleeping in YOUR bed, banging YOUR wife or daughter, THEN laugh in your face when you confront them and DEMAND that you keep them there and keep doing it everyday and say YOU have no sayso.
HOW can anyone in their right mind not denounce this but encourage such behavior? THIS amazes me, just how blind many are to this problem!

It sounds like you should have locked your doors, and that your wife and daughter are whores.

I'm really interested in your elaboration of the "citizenship papers", and identifying that your ancestors (all of them) came "legally". Did they come with the advance permission of the United States? The origin of the Italian-American slur "WOP" came from "WithOut Papers", meaning that the Italians often just arrived here.

The only thing we need is very strick immigration laws, and stop the flow of illegal immigrants coming to our Country. Sorry your Country is responsbile for their own, since when is it the US responsibility, to take care of the world, Who in the hell takes care of us, when their is a disaster, and so many Americans, lost their homes, and everything they own, who is their for us.
Sure, let's have the strictest laws, which would have prevented most of that immigration in the past. Once those people become our citizens, they are our problem to deal with, we can't pass them off elsewhere. Too bad we don't have enough of that moxie your Italians ancestors did, getting to work (in English) when it was tough times.

My god the same old argument. Well we used to allow this, or we used to do that.
Great back in the day we used a flint to make a spark to produce fire.
We used to use steam powered engines to pull trains.
We used to shoot native americans on sight.
We have evolved beyond those days.
Our immigration policies should and have evolved as well.
Do we want to become like many european countries or japan that are so over populated that we have no room left for growth? As it is we struggle to produce enough food for ourselves.
Immigration should always be based on the needs of the nation first.
It is encumbant upon the applicant to prove their worth to the nation they seek to immigrate to. We don't owe a VISA to anyone and often grant VISA's for bad reasons.
I want to retire to Thailand and will. I dont agree with all requirements but fully understand them. I'll need about 50g in a Thai bank. ( could be wrong but its a hefty number)
I can never own land their. Never have a civil service job.
All these laws are in place to protect Thailands interests. For good reason.
We could adopt a few of these policies and be better for it.
Do we want immigrants that will be a a burdon upon our society? NO
Do we owe anyone the VISA? NO
Just because we have it better than others or someone simply wants to come here does not mean we should granta VISA.

Still dragging up the past to justify illegal immigration into our country today? It is really hard for me to digest such views from someone who has served several stints in our military.

They seem to enjoy going to the past to justify the actions of illegals today.
If the past is what they want then why are they against doing another :
Operation wet back?

I'm not sure what your argument is. Even if my Danish ancestors came here illegally, I would still be opposed to illegal immigration. Also, the exact origin of the term "WOP" is unknown. It is actually thought to have derived from the Neapolitan word "guappo" (often pronounced simply as "guap'" in the regional dialect), meaning a person who flaunts an overbearingly cocky and swaggering attitude.

This isn't the same country as it was in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. We don't have a vast, untapped expanse of land to the West, which needs to be settled and cultivated. We have created massive entitlement and welfare programs, which have consequently left us trillions of dollars in debt. Socialistic policies cannot support the continuous influx of poverty stricken immigrants, undocumented or otherwise.

Sir Francis Drake claimed California for England long before Cortez ever knew about it.
