I received an e-mail from HR that all of my work references only verified dates and title. They need supervisor's phone numbers but they are not there anymore. Any advise on how get this job? Can I have two of my friends pretend that they supervised me? But then what about the phone numbers (are codes)?? I need help as soon as possible please.

Explain the situation and have a competent coworker vouch for you (if possible).

I did but HR said "I apologize if this process seems a little intense but we have high standards for our hiring process and obtaining 2 supervisory references is a non negotiable process." I am very upset, but luckily I find one of the Nurse cell number who used to supervise me, but I need one more for the other job. Can I use one of my friend?

Don't do pretend stuff.

Find phone#s of folks that you worked with that would give good reference. Give that tel# to HR and tell them the supervisors that you had are no lonter with the company and here is a tel# of a non-supervisor that you worked with.

In the mean time, can you track down email or tel# for former supervisors, even if they are in different positions now?

Also FYI, maybe you can use someone that wasnt your supervisor, but was a supervisor for others that you worked with. If you think they would give a good reference. CALL THEM FIRST TO ASK!

who won't offer you the position? If dealing with an employment agency be careful as it sounds as they are looking for info to complete sales calls.

Fake it give a friend or relative a disposable cell. It is not your fault that companies only give titles and dates nor that HR at this company are not living on planet earth on the year 2011.

Sounds either like a staffing agency or some HR douche is trying to inflate her importance/performance or is on a power trip issuing ultimatums.

Ok I found two of the Nurses' cell numbers who I assisted and reported to, but they were not my supervisors. Can HR still deny employment? HR wants somebody who supervised me directly or indirectly...The supervisor left the company and I don't have her phone number only the the Registered Nurses who I reported to.?

It's an HR department of a hospital, it's not a staffing agency.

I just received another e-mail from HR saying that they need a supervisor phone number, so I left a message to the nurse to say she was my supervisor..which kind of true because I reported to her....I can't believe that they would deny me with employment if I don't have a supervisor's phone number only HR's. Any other suggestions for me? I am so upset right now because this is the job I want and HR is giving me a hard time...Can they deny me employment in my situation by law?

You have to get some friends to BS it for you. Honestly, how are they going to verify work titles, position, responsibilities of your reference?
