Masks normalcy did not cause car jacking to sky rocket in Minneapolis.

44% of the city still wanted to defund/abolish police in Minneapolis, even though crime has gotten bad there.

That 44% of the city is obviously far left progtards. Occam's razor applies here despite your weak protests.

I agree 44% was too high. Again, the demographic changes to Minneapolis are a big part of it.

If Minneapolis had the demographics of, say, 1970, such crazy measures wouldn't have even been put to the voters.

Depends on how many BLM signs you see. Should be at least 10 per block or you have big trouble

I drove by the “Grumpy Old Men” homes on Hyacinth in St. Paul a few weeks back. I had always wanted to see those, being a big fan of the film. The whole street, including those, had BLM signs in the yards. It was still cool to see (and what a gorgeous neighborhood) but seeing those signs everywhere was hard to take. It did not do anything for the curbside appeal, that’s for sure.

That's my neighborhood.

Yes, there is a lot of self-hate in this vicinity. That explains why we put a terrorist (John Thompson) into state representative for our area.

44% is way too high for sure, but on demographics I disagree.

I have a lot of extended family in the area, cousins and such. I have a segment of Zambian relatives there that are libertarian from what I can tell, and no real problems with crime in the families, however large and extended. They are at least 3 generations deep.

Most of my extended family however are highly educated ( for whatever that means in the current times), very progressive and very white. Although not criminal themselves, they make excuses for high crime, and vote for idiots. Most of them work in public education. Sadly, they are the face of the TC area in my opinion. I see a very white segment of the 44% of those idiots in that area.

Typical white Minnesotans blaming demographics for everything lol Even though most black people were against question 2.

Carjackings in other places you speak of went up between 0% and 40%, with the former being a lot more common than the latter. Now, how do you explain floydadishu being up over 400%?

While you might be right. But it would like saying "even the white mayor says there is 'white privilege".

I'm glad Minneapolis voted that down.

What a shame the city has declined. My father did some of his medical training there decades ago and it was a safe, beautiful city. When I was younger, in fact, I had contemplated living there. Now I have no desire even to visit the place.

Every precinct on the northside voted against the measure. The areas that had the most support were the U of M and the Powderhorn area of the southside.

How Minneapolis voted on the police charter amendment

Other areas that supported the measure were Whittier and the wedge neighborhood in Uptown and some northeast neighborhoods. The largest opponents of the measure were Nokomis, Southwest, downtown and the Cedar Lake/Kenwood areas.
