Cruz, if your head gets any further into the sand you may want to consider identifying as a crustacean.

Does Tuesday's vote represent an awakening in Minnesota, or just a bump in the road to becoming another New York or Chicago?

Absolutely - why is this simple concept so difficult for some to understand?

Unfortunately, it was too Caucasian ...

What point are you trying to make?

THAT'S why and when the TC started going downhill ... the pipeline from Chicago.

Same happened to Milwaukee.

Doesn't matter that it started 25 years ago.

It takes time for them to destroy a city.

25 years? Lol. Try over 40.

I worked in a day labor service in south Minneapolis in the early 80's, I recall many of those seeking day labor work (easy to skirt taxes) were signing in with recent Chicago addresses and Illinois ID.

The Minneapolis public benefits, even back then, only required showing a recent Minneapolis utility bill with your name on it as proof of residency to get on monthly general assistance checks. The day labor was an interim thing for many until the mailed checks began.

So the police prevailed! The people have spoken and they want the police. Shocking the nation not to mention our state. Now they just need to get rid of the city council members that want to reshape the city, while calling the police when we they themselves are threatened. They are all hypocrites.

It would be nice if you could also incentivize the voters who are anti-police to move to an unpoliced town. Like Chicago, or San Francisco. Where they will be much happier.

It has already partially happened. Let’s look back at the 9 city council members who voiced approval of dismantling the police department shall we?

Cam Gordon (Ward 2) - lost to Robin Wonsley Worlobah in 2021 election
Phillipe Cunningham (Ward 4) - Lost to LeTrisha Vetow in 2021 election
Jeremiah Ellison (Ward 5) - won re-election
Lisa Goodman (Ward 7) - won re-election
Andrea Jenkins (Ward 8) - won re-election
Alondra Cano (Ward 9) - did not seek re-election in 2021
Lisa Bender (Ward 10) - did not seek re-election in 2021
Jeremy Schroeder (Ward 11) - lost to Emily Koski in 2021 election
Andrew Johnson (Ward 12) - won re-election

So of the 9 members who supported dismantling the police, only 4 remain.

And Frey was against it, and he was re-elected.

I'll give the Minneapolis voters a little credit. I still think that 44% was much too high.

Too bad the U isn't in Minneapolis - I think a lot of those college nitwits play too much of a role in local government in our biggest city.
