Upcoming weeks is verrrrry vague. It’s still a wait. I was told that the viewing will this week or next week. I passed the building yesterday and can’t tell how much progress has been made because the wood is still up on the 60th st side. After viewing I want to sign lease and move. I am praying that I will be in my new home by the Christmas holidays.
Does anyone know if the building is receiving the tax benefit even if none of the affordable apts are occupied? It seems to me that there will be a push to have some of the units occupied if they will benefit by the tax benefit. It would be a damm shame if the developer is allowed to benefit for the year and not have any affordable units occupied.
Anyone else have info?

Very vague indeed, but some news is better than no news. I hope the viewings would be soon... i too hope to be in by christmas.... i've fantasizing about all the decorations. I drove by as well and they still have everything covered. They don't seem to be in a rush to get the low income tenants in.

I don’t feel “low income” is appropriate, affordable units for hard working people is how I would describe the families who will occupy these units.

I totally agree with you, but they don't see it that way.

Default Leasing compliance is taking long!

I'm new to this blog but i've been following. My file is currently being reviewed by the leasing compliance team (has been for a couple of weeks now). I can't imagine how hard it was to wait for several months! I'm having trouble with just my two week wait so far!

All I can tell you is that it is not going to happen overnight. Get comfortable it could a long journey. Most of us on the blog received acceptances in April. And you can’t rush the process. Hopefully for your sake it will move faster. The saving grace for us old timers is that we have received all the approvals and have been issued our unit#. So we are able to exhale (so to speak) When were you interviewed? Good Luck!

I was contacted and they are requesting more documents and the guy was very nice and told me a lot of the workers are no longer with BG; so that was another reason why the file are moving slow & the building is still not ready
