I used to work with someone who would bring his grandbulldogs in for visits. It was awesome! Animals aren't allowed on the campus where I work now. It sucks. Coworkers get teir baby fixes but how am I supposed to get my puppybreath fix?

I'm the same way. In fact, I go out of my way to avoid holding babies. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever held a baby, except maybe my little brother when he was born (assuming I did).

Most don't know how to hold a baby. But if you have one you will learn. My ex held my son while sitting and when I asked him to come see the new crib. He asked me how do I stand up while holding him? I cracked up laughing.

I've always been a dog person. Puppies are like magnets for me. Love them. I've always liked babies but my heart has always melted more over puppies. Now that I have a baby - I love him more than anything! I could hold him and smell him and love him all day! But overall - I'm still a dog person.

had my fill of holding babies. I could even sit at the table and and feed both myself and the kid.

Now puppies... Oh yes. Puppies are loads of fun. Pups of all ages are golden with me.

well said. Dogs are like children for true dog owners.

People who dont like kids are more realistic, and not selfish at all, knowing their limitations they choose NOT to have them.

The worst I see is parents who have screaming kids in the supermarket, do nothing to quiet them down and look around as if its all cute and funny. It isn't.

But that's them. They always make assumptions on men or pet lovers.

Besides, dogs are very protective of their masters and the home from any intruders or threats.

I raised two daughters, but now that they are adults, I find that I do not like being around other peoples' babies and small children (I have no grandkids yet). I could cuddle and talk baby talk to my Muffy (kitty) all day. She's mommy's sweet little baby.
