Hey everybody im still here just be quiet but still been calling everyone, someone just posted on FB that the bill is not on the agenda for tommorows meeting.
i've been lurking here for a few days reading posts, checking news stories all the while job hunting, filling applications on line and mailing off resumes. I just registered here today because I finally got a response from someone other than the gov's canned response.
I have also been checking on the legislative calendar agenda looking for either the senate or house bill. Nothing there for tomorrow yet, but it can be updated at anytime. Also following a lot of folks on twitter. I still have hope.
How do I let Gov. Perdue know I'm one of those wanting her to show some concern about the missing extended benefits and the real reason nothing's being done?
I just emailed the president, Maybe if enough people do that he can intervene I wasnt the greatest student in the government and econ class so Im kinda of lost. What's the number to MCComas office?
If/when it appears on the calendar, it will come from the senate finance committee under s584 or the house commerce and job development commitee under h676.
You can check out the calendar here. It updates whenever an addition or change is made.
Good work and efforts people. A lot of encouraging articles have been written today. What was most encouraging was the article written about the Tennessee EB benefits being worked upon. I had lost hope on that particular state and thought that NC was going to follow its example, but after seeing that Tennessee is working on legislature to restore EB, I know within me that NC will do the same. Keep up the good work here, e-mail and call all members of legislature and believe positively that EB will be restored soon ! ! !
