Today's Question(s):

Do any of our QOTD family avoid doing anything in particular on a Friday the 13th ? Nahhh. If anything, it's yielded more good luck than bad luck for me.

Have you ever had any "que the Twilight Zone music" weird, strange or funny things happen on a Friday the 13th ?
Nahhhhhhhh. Have you?

Bonus Question:

Have you ever tried or gotten into a car that looks like your but wasn't ? Ain't no dang car that looks like my butt! Now you got me wonderin' 'bout yours!

lol where there ever any other people in said car ?
Quit with the smart-a$$ winkin',
Ain't nobody gettin' in my Lincoln!

If you park next to the same type of car especially if it is the same model & color and the other driver was there would you say "hey look we have the same car" or something along that line ?
Yeah, butt only if they looked like they might be a nice person.
I'd just do the ol', "hey, nice truck", with a smile and a "have a great day".....

Inquiring Minds Question:
In honor of eyeglass day

Do you wear glasses or contacts ? Multiple pairs of glasses.

Are they for:
Faraway ? Yes
Close up ? Yes
Both ? That would be my progressive lens glasses, which I haven't worn since the day I paid freakin' hundreds of dollars for the pieces of shi* that they are....thanks to the people that encouraged me to go with progressive lenses....may their beefaroni be cheeseless for a year!

For those that need both do you have
No-line or progressive lenses ? Yes and they SUCK!
Lined lenses ? Isn't that "bifocals"?

How many have prescription sunglasses ?
? It takes a prescription to get either kind of glasses - around my neck of the woods, anyway.
What the hell is "neck of the woods", anyway?

Extra Credit Question:

If you see something expensive, have you or a family member ever used any of the below phrases

That's Dear ? Sure. My entire family is English.
That's Pricey ? I've said that once or twice; always accompanied by the word, "kinda". <~~~
They sure are proud of that ? I'll bet that nobody has ever said that in the history of the world.
Holy Crap are they nuts ? Yeah, I've said that one too.
Do they think money grows on trees ? Never said that. It's too worn and a little dumb, to me.

Just for Fun:

Are any of our QOTD family left handed ? Well I'll just bet there are!

Is anyone in your immediate family left handed ?
Yeah.

Last time you took a Taxi ? That would be grand theft, so never.

Today in History:
1287 - Eyeglasses debuted
1889 - William Gray patents coin-operated telephone
1907 - First Taxicab used
1919 - Man o'War's only defeat (the upset was by a horse named Upset) ...
1934 - Cartoonist Al Capp began his famous comic strip, "Li’l Abner"
I haven't read it, not even one time. But....
1981 - Last broadcast of "Waltons" on CBS-TV
Laughing my car-size butt off --- you can watch that John-boy crap,
I'll pass, thank you! (sorry for being mean but it's the truth. He irritated me so I would never watch the show.)
1993 - U.S. Court of Appeals rules congress must save all E-Mails

Word of the Day:
subterfuge [suhb-ter-fyooj] noun
1. an artifice or expedient used to evade a rule, escape a consequence, hide something, etc. What?

Today is:
National Filet Mignon Day
Did you know: One out of every three filet mignons are consumed as leftovers?
Trail Mix Day
International Left Handers Day
Taxicab Day Most of them are wreckless drivers. Why do they call it wreckless driving if they drive worse than average? Shouldn't that be wreck driving?
Eyeglasses Day That's every day and night for me, whenever I'm not in bed. It gets frustrating as all get out........hey, what the heck is "all get out", anyway?......................

Thanks for the questions, thanks for everything, and I wish a great Friday and a terrific weekend for you all, except for the trolls, for whom I wish nausea.

I have been waiting for this, but looks like someone beat me to the first position:
Today's Question(s):

Do any of our QOTD family avoid doing anything in particular on a Friday the 13th ?
Not me, it is just another day at the office. Now if I were a Knight’s Templar I might be a bit on edge LOL.

Have you ever had any "que the Twilight Zone music" weird, strange or funny things happen on a Friday the 13th ?
No, it has always been as strange as the rest of my days LOL

Bonus Question:

Have you ever tried or gotten into a car that looks like your but wasn't ?
I had a rental about a month ago, and went into the parking lot trying to use the keyless opener on another black SUV. When I hit the lock the car a few spaces down blew its horn at me.

lol where there ever any other people in said car ?
No but I still got laughed at.

If you park next to the same type of car especially if it is the same model & color and the other driver was there would you say "hey look we have the same car" or something along that line ?
Yes, and I have. I would usually comment on what good taste they had in cars LOL

Inquiring Minds Question:
In honor of eyeglass day

Do you wear glasses or contacts ?
glasses

Are they for:
Faraway ?
Close up ?
close up
Both ?

For those that need both do you have
No-line or progressive lenses ?
Lined lenses ?

How many have prescription sunglasses ?
not yet

Extra Credit Question:

None of those, but I might question if they had lost their minds.

That's Dear ?
That's Pricey ?
They sure are proud of that ?
Holy Crap are they nuts ?
Do they think money grows on trees ?

Just for Fun:

Are any of our QOTD family left handed ?
I can use both right and left, which was good when I broke my right shoulder last year. I think I am more left handed than right, as I have many things I just can not do with my right hand.

Is anyone in your immediate family left handed ?
no, unless you count me.

Last time you took a Taxi ?
Last year in DC, I may never take another one.

Today's Question(s):

Do any of our QOTD family avoid doing anything in particular on a Friday the 13th ?

I'm not really superstitious, but in the past I had no choice but to just cross my fingers and hope for the best.

Have you ever had any "que the Twilight Zone music" weird, strange or funny things happen on a Friday the 13th ? For some reason, something weird always happens - why today since I'd been feeling icky earlier in the week and was showing property in the rain yesterday, I'm saying screw it and working from home today.

Bonus Question:

Have you ever tried or gotten into a car that looks like your but wasn't ? Yes, in the States. I just couldn't figure out why my key wouldn't unlock the door

lol where there ever any other people in said car ? Thankfully no

If you park next to the same type of car especially if it is the same model & color and the other driver was there would you say "hey look we have the same car" or something along that line ? Sure and actually have before - we both got a good chuckle and complimented each other on our good taste in cars

Inquiring Minds Question:
In honor of eyeglass day

Do you wear glasses or contacts ? Yes

Are they for:
Faraway ?
Close up ? Only for reading
Both ?

Extra Credit Question:

If you see something expensive, have you or a family member ever used any of the below phrases

That's Dear ?
That's Pricey ?
They sure are proud of that ?
Holy Crap are they nuts ? This has been known to pop out of my mouth except 'one word' was slightly different
Do they think money grows on trees ?

Just for Fun:

Are any of our QOTD family left handed ? Nope

Is anyone in your immediate family left handed ? don't think so

Last time you took a Taxi ? Several years ago when I had to go to Panama City - no way in hell I'll drive in that place. I'd have to be heavily medicated and taxis are cheap.

Today in History:
1287 - Eyeglasses debuted wow - didn't realize it was so long ago
1889 - William Gray patents coin-operated telephone at the time it was a good thing, now it seems like so many don't work, are vandalized etc.
1907 - First Taxicab used
1919 - Man o'War's only defeat (the upset was by a horse named Upset)
1934 - Cartoonist Al Capp began his famous comic strip, "Li’l Abner"
1981 - Last broadcast of "Waltons" on CBS-TV night John-Boy
1993 - U.S. Court of Appeals rules congress must save all E-Mails yeah and I wonder if they really do

Word of the Day:
subterfuge [suhb-ter-fyooj] noun
1. an artifice or expedient used to evade a rule, escape a consequence, hide something, etc. just dealt with someone last night who did this so all I did was waste my time yesterday and could cost me money. er

Today is:
National Filet Mignon Day yummy, yummy, yummy
Trail Mix Day Gag
International Left Handers Day have a good one all you lefties
Taxicab Day Not today
Eyeglasses Day wearing my reading specs now

Today's Question(s):

Do any of our QOTD family avoid doing anything in particular on a Friday the 13th ? Not really

Have you ever had any "que the Twilight Zone music" weird, strange or funny things happen on a Friday the 13th ? No

Bonus Question:

Have you ever tried or gotten into a car that looks like your but wasn't ? Yes. It's always so funny.

lol where there ever any other people in said car ? One time there was. I was zoning out and not paying attention to what I was doing. My car was two spaces down behind a SUV, and the other car looked identical to mines. When I went to open the door, the person on the passenger side was looking at me as if they were saying: WTH!

If you park next to the same type of car especially if it is the same model & color and the other driver was there would you say "hey look we have the same car" or something along that line ? Nope. It is the obvious. So, there is no need to point it out. Of course, it I had a $100,000 sports car, then that would be a different story

Today's Question(s):

Do any of our QOTD family avoid doing anything in particular on a Friday the 13th ?

Not me, we're starting our family vacation today, and I think it's lucky to get started on a Friday rather than wait until Saturday when the bridge traffic to the beach areas gets bad. Besides, leaving on Friday the 13th means it's a lucky trip, right?

Nope, but I have had several lucky things happen on the 12th. So many lucky things that we even got married on the 12th. And I used to try to start new jobs on the 12th if I could.

Bonus Question:

Have you ever tried or gotten into a car that looks like your but wasn't ?

LOL happens all the time. I was one of the first people to buy a Prius and one of the reasons I liked it was it's distinctive look. I thought it would be so easy to spot my car in the parking lot. Then everyone in VA bought one.

If you park next to the same type of car especially if it is the same model & color and the other driver was there would you say "hey look we have the same car" or something along that line ?

Yes, it's a pretty common joke. Then we ask each other if we should call them "Priuses" or "Prii." (It's a dumb joke but it calways gets a laugh! ) The center where my gym is sometimes looks like a Prius parking lot!

Inquiring Minds Question:
In honor of eyeglass day

Do you wear glasses or contacts ?

Yes, I wear progressive lenses and prescription sunglasses.

Extra Credit Question:

If you see something expensive, have you or a family member ever used any of the below phrases

That's Dear ?
That's Pricey ?
They sure are proud of that ?
Holy Crap are they nuts ?
Do they think money grows on trees ?

I think we're fond of saying "Would you spend that kind of money on something like that?"

Just for Fun:

Are any of our QOTD family left handed ?

Is anyone in your immediate family left handed ?

I'm right handed, but have family members who are left handed.

Last time you took a Taxi ?

So long ago I don't remember. I'm sure it involved getting a ride to an airport.
