Can we get some of that rain down here in Los Angeles, please?
I gladly share and you send me some sun? We need it for our mini Oktoberfest we are planning.

Hi Alm!

Is Pancake Syrup exactly the same as Maple Syrup? I should've tried all of this when I was in the US - I worked in a restaurant as part of my job too. I can't remember making any doughnuts or pancakes there though. The nearest thing would've been bagels.

Pancake syrup is fake maple syrup - usually. It's very sweet and has a hint of mild maple flavor. If you've ever used artificial maple syrup, that's what I meant by pancake syrup.

Lol about the bagels. Or biscuits, actually - those are good with honey or maple syrup (real or fake)

Going out to the movies tonight

Ah, right. Your Pancake Syrup sounds the same as the 'maple flavoured' syrup that I get.

Enjoy your time at the movies (or we sometimes call it 'the pictures')!

Hi Alm!
Floods are not cool...

But give me water any day over 100 degrees of hell.

Am hoping October proves more calming compared to the roller-coaster of emotions that was September

Oh Zola, I missed your September - except I know you had some travel around when I did too, so I hope that was positive. Yes, here's to smooth sailing in October. I need it too - my colleague will be back and she's very good at upsetting the balance at work.

Zola........ I guessed September wasn't a good month for you. I'm so glad to see you back here. Always remember 'this too shall pass.' You will feel better in yourself as time goes by. You are a young woman, with all the world your oyster. Give your wounds a quick lick, and then onward!!...........

I am feeling a little sad myself today. It's my dad's birthday, and he would have been 84 today. He died almost 30 years ago, and on days like this, I think of him.

What are you currently thinking about?

Why did I apply for this credit card? Haven't had one, or wanted one for many years, but everybody says I should have one. I did it, I got it, I used it 4 times in 2 weeks for little purchases, and it's been blocked 3 times because of "fraud alert". It's too much trouble getting it un-blocked, I'm paying it off when I get the bill and I'm getting rid of it. I should trust my good judgment. The key word on my card is "simplicity". "Simple" it's not! "A Pain" it is. I'm done thinking.
