Well, when videos of what the residents of certain areas are saying confirm the snow removal is non-existent, when we have examples of deaths due to the fact the emergency vehicles and personnel couldn't get through...for hours, when we have pictorial evidence that corroborate the claims of neglect.....why would YOU believe an anonymous internet poster making unsubstantiated claims?

I know why, because having this one little "story" helps you cling to the excuses we have heard for the union.

No one you know personally, right? Why believe this one story over the examples and numerous stories of RESIDENTS on the ground?

Uh huh, sure you can. Most on the Left will support the union beyond all reason. This is one of those cases. I imagine if it were private contractors whose inaction led to the deaths off 2 babies, you might have a different response, but since an arm of the democrat party is involved, the union, there will be no objectivity.

The only thing we know about union "involvement" at this point, sanrene, is that the drivers are union workers. We know nothing of the circumstances other than that.

Oh, we know quite a bit more than that, don't we?

We know there was an investigation launched upon hearing rumors of a pending union action, we know that drivers were skipping streets, in fact driving right over the streets without plowing an inch, lifting their blades, slowing down on their routes, we have resident witnesses that observed this behavior, we know whistle blower(s) have come forward telling us they were given such orders and more in this "action", we have deaths, attributable to the inability of emergency workers to reach these people, because the streets were impassable, we have over 400 that called in "sick" (a sure sign of a union action), we have the fact and knowledge that many members of this union were disgruntled and unhappy with layoffs, we have the fact that 100+ supervisor are to be demoted/salary slashed for budgetary reasons....so yeah, we have a LOT more that what you claim.

This is the reason why govt workers should not be permitted to unionize. The taxpayers should not be held hostage to union thug tactics.

This is exactly right. The unions have turned into thuggish, greedy entities.
