And hopefully you would be charged with murder especially if they are just on your property. I do agree that if they are in your house, you have the right to defend yourself but if they are on your property and a warning shot will send them away, then there is not need to kill.

Warning shots are fired into the ground, what idoit fires a warning shot towards a group

Are you saying this would be a form of giving to the poor........... the burglar needed it, the owner should've just turned the other cheek and let her take more??

I think people need to stay out of other's houses and not take what doesn't belong. Get a couple of real big dog's and then a gun is rarely needed.

In most states, you can't protect property using deadly force unless you are in fear of your life, which seems to be the case here. The reason for the laws are because our society does not place property above the value of human life.
Actually in Texas you can use deadly force to protect your property and your neighbors property, which is why I live my state.

Maybe killing someone for being on your property is a bit extreme. That said, it's kind of one of the risks that comes with breaking and entering, especially in a conservative state where a LOT of people have guns and aren't afraid to use them.

I don't think it can be said anymore succinctly than the above. All the trash talk is just so much window dressing for the ugliness that is the soul of the true conservative. Most conservatives are Christians and belive that "thou shalt not steal... or else" but conveniently forget "thou shalt not kill". Hmmm.

Summer Moody given less than 1 percent chance of survival after emergency surgery | al.com

MOBILE, Alabama -- Four days after being shot, 17-year-old Summer Moody was given a less than 1 percent chance of survival after her condition worsened Wednesday night, a family spokesman said today.
Moody was shot in the back of the head at about 4 a.m. Sunday, while she and three other teens were on Gravine Island.

The three teens who were with Moody on Sunday, Scott Byrd and Dillion Tyree of Stapleton and Daniel Parnell of Bay Minette, have been charged with first-degree burglary.

Earlier this week, Sheriff Huey Hoss Mack said the three are charged with breaking into two fishing camps on the island. Mack said two men on the island heard the teens and each fired one shot. One of the bullets hit Moody. No one else was injured in the incident.
4 am??? What was a 17 year old girl doing out at 4 am? Where on earth were her parents?

Parents who don't give a damn where their child is, what crime she's involved in -- but you can bet money they have dollar signs in their eyes right now and are pretending they cared a lot about their daughter.

When did you see Rodney fighting with the cops?
In case you didn't know it, a speeding violation is a misdemeanor. Burglary is a Federal offense. And Zimmerman was having his head bashed in by Martin, so it WAS self defense.
Says who?

Why would it? No matter what race the fishermen were, these teens made the decision to do an armed burglary at 4 am.

The Second Amendment is for all races.
