"Yes we must teach gay history and leave the important historical facts about our nation out!

We need the right(s) to love our adopted children any way we see fit!

Can't any one see where this perverted Gay agenda is heading?

Ever since the repeal of don't ask don't tell in the military - sexual assaults on men has skyrocketed!

Frig this.. I'd be much better off living in a muslim country where death is the penalty for this type of perverted activity

Make no mistake about this. God will judge this nation harshly!"

Wow, what Beck-ism. If "A" has something to do with "B" and "B" has something to do with "C"; then, "A" must have something to do with "C."

Your manner of thinking is as logical as noticing that the country of Columbia is a haven for drug cartels and because Columbia University has the word "Columbia" in it, it must be a haven for drug cartels too.

Your indoctrination is complete. Assimilation is absolute. Welcome Citizen.

Progressivism in history has always been a conduit for gaining power. Radical groups often need to secure the favor of fringe communities, then liquidated when no longer of use.

Why would progressive governments like the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe not tolerate gays? How can they be both socially progressive and intolerant towards what they term as "deviant lifestyles"? Since religion was shunned, what purpose would it serve to crush any gay movement in those societies? Because it deviates from the norm, and anything outside the norm in socialist societies is frowned upon.

to Beck U. stuff. Would be more applicable if I actually watched or listened to the guy.

Us Ron Paulers shouldn't be that much of a mystery to both the left and right. Sometimes I think the partisans act stupid on purpose. Other days I believe they were just dropped too much as a baby.

As kids they were referred to as sissies or fairies..Why would anyone want to harm them- They are what they are...Those who want to execute gays are willing to kill anyone else they don't like...maybe they should just take a flying leap right out of this world?

Can't believe people actually like the term "forward". It's such a vacuous term and history has shown that catch phrase very toxic. Then again, there are some who actually romanticize about pre-1989 Eastern Europe and the stability it provided for most, even if it was just miserably stable.

Your assessment is pure BS. First, the Soviets were not progressives. They were very much for the status quo and lock-step autocracy -- very much like Conservative thought and the Republican House. Their views are summed up in Senatorial hopeful Richard Mourdock, who believes that political compromise is about Dems siding with GOP.

Second, Conservatives, like Ron Paul, have always been on the wrong side of history.

As for Progressives:

Progressives ended slavery in this country.
Progressives got women the right to vote.
Progressives got African-Americans the right to vote.
Progressives created Social Security and lifted millions of elderly people out of poverty.
Progressives ended segregation.
Progressives passed the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act.
Progressives created Medicare.
Progressives passed the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act.

What did Conservatives do? They opposed them on every one of those things; every one.

So when you Conservatives smugly try to hurl that label at our feet, 'Progressive,' -- as if your views are superior, it won't work, because we will pick up that label and we will wear it as a badge of honor. History is on our side as to what views were superior.

Oh, BTW, I have watched Beck. I can see how the uninformed buy his rhetoric but those that actually know the topic he is discussing find his claims preposterous.

The real question here and the disturbing facts are that anyone running for President in the United has to pander to the homophobes....... WHY?
Romney is no different.... he is trying so hard to get the votes that there virtually isn't a issue that he hasn't supported both sides on.
In America today, too many radical, unintelligent and bigoted people are being 'courted" for their votes and being made to look somehow "respectable".
This is 2012 and for anyone to believe that gay marriage is wrong is quite startling.... maybe it is due to bad education or just plain moronic nastiness, who knows but it is a sad indictment of society when a persons right to commit to a marriage is denied because of homophobia.
This issue should not exist yet alone be part of a election.
Get over yourselves people..... Both Romney and Obama are saying what they feel will NOT harm their election chances. I wish they would BOTH grow a pair and stand up for what they really believe, even if it loses them a election........ Maybe the amount of bigots here in the USA are the reason that anyone running for office here has to become a part of something they really despise????
