I agree with you actually since most Hispanics aren't going to vote for a "draconian" party based on what the GOP has done to them so far. The people who vote on a single issue like "gay marriage" probably weren't going to vote for Obama anyways.
His support for Gay marriage is just that, he supports it but marriage is a function of the states and he can't change those laws like he did when he repealed "don't ask don't tell".
