100 meters with a rifle should be a slam dunk. Well depending on the weapon. A cheap Stevens and god knows where the bullets will fly.
A Remington Model 700? 1 inch groups all day. The instructer was right.
An assault rifle? Depends on the sights but I have seen many a shooter nail 3 inch groups with ironsights.
Sorry I didn't specify, standard LE issue Colt AR, iron sights, low light setting, about 7:30PM, I can post a pic, we all carry identical weapons.

It was like getting punched in the hand, i don't know where that first round went, but it certainly wasn't the target or the berm. I think it's still circling the earth in the upper stratosphere.

My friend I wont even shoot such a maimer. LOL I know a guy with a bond arms derranger that shoots 410 shotgun shells...... I decline when he offers to let me squeeze a few rounds out that maimer.

The AR 15 is an accurate repeatable shooter. Low light and Iron sights are a challenge. Especially now that I am loosing some of my night vision/ depth perception. I havent fired an assualt rifle in about 6 months and that was an early morning shoot. It was a sig 556. Sweet shooter just not my thing.

Oh that SiG looks nice (never fired it, and now that I think of it, I've never seen one in person), as with all Sigs though, you gotta pay through the nose. With kids, another one on the way, that beautiful 556 is a pipe dream right now. I felt my wallet getting lighter just looking at it in the brochure.

Once upon a time I owned the HK-91 in .308 cal. I loved that shooter. I sold it to help pay for another dream rifle. made by a small time rifle maker named Borden. Mine is a Borden signiture in 300 ultra mag. It is my rifle for hunting in Wyoming.

If it were you and a guy in a dark suit suddently started shooting wildly at you and everyone else, within 10 feet, just how "steady" do you think your hand would be?

I think when he "suddenly" brought out the gun, all bets were off and everyone started running wildly. That's called "chaos" so I don't think anyone should be the blame here for where bullet fragments went... except ....blame the idiot shooter for causing the "chaos"

Thats all fine and dandy but when someone is paid to carry a weapon and use it to protect the public they better damn well know how to use it, and use it well, no excuses.

I own a trucking company and if my drivers don't know how to properly drive the truck they lose there job. Very rare I give a second chance. You have no idea how much damage and deaths a dumbass behind the wheel of a 80000 lb rolling bullet can cause.
