Have no pity on these people that took advantage.....
And Walmart allowed this.
And Walmart is not getting reimbursed for the feeding frenzy they allowed to happen.

I am absolutely appalled...disappointed...and feel utter contempt for those AMERICAN's who chose to be dishonest and chose to display it in full force in public, and without shame or embarrassment.
As far as I am concerned, the "welfare queen" debate is over. This episode is THE STEREOTYPICAL WELFARE LEECH IN ACTION. There is NO argument sufficient enough to dismiss these actions as that of a few people. We are talking about a total and complete degradation of society, powered by the leeches that liberals insist are few and far between.

A spokeswoman for Xerox, Jennifer Wasmer, said, "If there is an EBT system outage, there is an agreed and documented process for retailers to follow. The process includes a 'per cardholder, per day' spending limit that is set at a state level." In Louisiana, the limit is $50 per cardholder per day, she said.
Are the EBT cards "credited" each month? If so, simple solution....withhold the credits till the balance is paid off. You know...the same as actual working people have to do with credit cards. Don't have your welfare money this month? Too bad, shouldn't have tried to defraud someone last month.
You know what...if some "glitch" takes the limit off my credit card, I'm still responsible for whatever tab I run up. EBT card holders should be treated like adults as well.

The "poor people need food" argument took the same direction with this latest incident as it did when people were looting stores for big-screen TVs after Katrina. I know the TV cameras were trying to avoid showing the brand names of items in the Walmart carts, but it was pretty hard to miss the necessities like 2 trays of donuts, the bags of Doritos, and the toy robots.
Who actually thinks these people will be held accountable though? Most likely, this will be written off by the government, otherwise we're penalizing the poor for not knowing any better. They might go hungry next month if we don't give them their full balance.
People who should be jailed for fraud are going to probably get away with this crime as if nothing had happened.
It's amazing that there are so many people justifying this blatant, mass theft, and so many who think anyone would steal if given the opportunity.
