That's preposterously silly. The Constitution permits all sorts of anti-libertarian measures. Ask a real Constitutionalist like the late Robert Bork, who took pains to express his contempt for libertarian philosophy.

Yes, Holland can do what they want. The problem with legalization is that it does not remove the criminal element from the picture. Many of the hookers in Amsterdam's 100% legalized red lights districts are there against their will, victims of sex traffickers. Also, most of the cannabis they serve in their coffee shops has been smuggled into the country by criminals.

It's already against the law to drive under the influence of marijuana, just like any substance, once you fail a field sobriety test

I wouldn't mind marijuana if they could find a safer way of doing it. Injecting marijuana directly into your eyeballs is dangerous and I for one can't support it.

There is no road test for pot. The only way to measure it is by drawing blood, and cops are not going to so that on the road.

Along with a bunch of old folks past age 65, who are strongly opposed to legalizing marijuana.

But the feds have somehow got a patent for medical marijuana.

Yes there is. The field sobriety test works just fine to test inability to drive due to any substance that impairs driving ability.

It's not a breathalyzer, but we don't have those for cocaine, heroine, meth, lots of other illegal drugs. Do a simple Google search, it's been proven that standing on one foot with your finger on your nose works well and as good of better then a breathalyzer to find marijuana inebriation
