no it doesnt matter, because we know she wasnt acting in a threatening manner.
i assume she was driving back from a party drunk and smoked some weed. she crashed and looked for help, thats all documented.
why you cover for the white guy time after time when they are guilty is mind boggling
You do? How? Were you there?
I get what SourD is saying, and it doesn't have anything to do with the guy being charged for her murder. It has everything to do with the media, YET AGAIN, trying to make someone out to be this poor, innocent person who got killed for being innocent. She was drunk, possibly stoned, crashed her car, and walked six blocks and started knocking on this guy's door. But the media does not say that, now do they?
I stand by what I said in the last thread about this, if she was not INSIDE his dwelling, (each state has their own laws), it was not necessary for him to use deadly force. I have not read the rest of the story just yet about how he blasted her in the back of the head, but none of that is what SourD is talking about.
Basically, SourD just wants the story to read: 19 year old in Detroit gets shot to death after a night of drinking, smoking marijuana, and crashing her car.
Instead of:
Poor, innocent 19 year old was looking for help after crashing her car, and got killed for it.
The media is totally f-en with us again, and all these people are falling for it.

your headline attacks the victim and says nothing about the crazy white guy who shot her.
race is always downplayed by conservatives when its whites terrorizing blacks, but if a black guy shoots a white guy you want national headlines saying black male shoots white, and always say that the media never mentions race when its a black criminal and white victim, which is bs.

cant have it both ways.
Funny you should have just said that...I was finally getting to the article where he was in court.
I had not seen his photo nor paid any attention to his race, nor hers until I saw pictures.
He's white...a crazy nut toting a gun.
She's black...an innocent teen looking for help after an accident.
LOL, ok, here we go again............................
(And lest you forget, I already agreed that he should not have shot someone just for knocking on his door. The point is, the media is stirring up the spit pot again. And look, all these people buying in to it. Here's a question: she's the victim, WHY THE NEED to pull on heart strings and paint her out to be angelic? If she's driving around drunk and stoned, and then crashes her car as a result, she's not angelic...so just answer that question.)
This McBride incident struck a chord because it stands out. The young woman knocked on a door not knowing she chose the door that would produce a bullet hole thrugh her face. There is something particularly macabre about that. It is like something out of a horror movie. What are the odds of that happening? This is the stuff nightmares are made of.

my point is, whenever its a black male killing a white person the conservatives want that mentioned everywhere, they want people to know hes a black man that killed a white person.
when a white person kills a black person, its called race baiting and the media working overtime to stir up racial tension, so they say race is irrelvant and shouldnt be mentioned at all.

Yeah, she is innocent. How does being drunk or stoned, crashing your car & walking to someone's house to get help make her guilty in your eyes? Seriously, how twisted do you have to be to think someone deserves to die for that?
With all of this noted, I still feel like it was not necessary to shoot. This is how I would have handled it. If someone came knocking on my door at that hour, I would be cautious, but I wouldn't shoot. Most likely, if I didn't know the person, I wouldn't open the door. I feel like the time to shoot is when someone has actually broken into the home.
I hope you weren't implying that I was justifying the shooting. I'm noting the events surrounding the shooting with regards to what type of charges and the extent of sentencing he should face.
At least a couple years in prison for that, even with no priors. IMO.

I wasn't trying to imply anything. I was just giving my opinion. At least you gave me more information about the shooting.
I do agree with you that even with no prior offenses, prison time should take place for this.
