According to the statistics, mass shootings are not a problem worth solving. They make up less than 1/10th of all crime. They are a rare anomaly.
An excellent point. It's hard to understand why either pro or anti gun people are concerned about mass shootings -- these things are very rare occurrences, folks.

The same could be said of terrorist attacks like 9/11, yet we will go to war over them.
I could never live my life being this paranoid and just don't understand it. There is so much talk about the freedom of america but some of you can't even go out of your house without being armed. To me that is not freedom. It's just being scared.
I don't him being paranoid at all. Seems to me like he is exercising his 2A rights and being prepared. Between being prepared and sticking my head in the sand, I'll take being prepared.
What is a shame is seeing an American judging another American for exercising one of his rights.
Are you kidding me. You are comparing a seat belt to guns. Don't you drive with a seatbelt
Do you wear your seatbelt ? Do you have insurance on your car? Do you have a smoke detector in your home ? If you do you must be paranoid...
Funny how your logic only works on your side of the argument...
There is a good reason there is no longer open carry everywhere. The sight of a firearm, make the ignorant and fearful like you, crap their pants.
Fear breeds ignorance.
And we see it more and more in society. Just yesterday morning an active military officer got turned away from seeing his daughter in school because he was in uniform. Sure the school blamed the security guard and fired him but I'm willing to bet it wasn't his decision to deny access to the officer.
Absolutely. Any school with a parent who insists on bringing a gun to a school function with many small children running around is a huge risk to your child. Your child is more at risk of getting hit by a stray bullet if the parent drops the gun than by an armed madman.
Nope. It's usually the ignorance that breeds fear as exemplified by many people here.
