An excellent point. It's hard to understand why either pro or anti gun people are concerned about mass shootings -- these things are very rare occurrences, folks.

The same could be said of terrorist attacks like 9/11, yet we will go to war over them.

I don't see a problem with that either. Now if the purchaser is a CPL holder he already has, it is already mandated.

I don't him being paranoid at all. Seems to me like he is exercising his 2A rights and being prepared. Between being prepared and sticking my head in the sand, I'll take being prepared.
What is a shame is seeing an American judging another American for exercising one of his rights.

Do you wear your seatbelt ? Do you have insurance on your car? Do you have a smoke detector in your home ? If you do you must be paranoid...
Funny how your logic only works on your side of the argument...

Fear breeds ignorance.
And we see it more and more in society. Just yesterday morning an active military officer got turned away from seeing his daughter in school because he was in uniform. Sure the school blamed the security guard and fired him but I'm willing to bet it wasn't his decision to deny access to the officer.

And that 1/10th is what all of them are judging things on...

What utter ignorance!

Fear breeds ignorance.

Nope. It's usually the ignorance that breeds fear as exemplified by many people here.
