Trump thinks implementing a 25% tariff on foreign cars before November will help Republicans keep the House and the Senate.
Do you have proof to back up your statement or is this another one of your made up facts?
Did the auto bailouts keep democrats in power?

btw Here's the rest of my post which is related. Not that you care about the truth.
Did you complain about the Obama tariffs on tires?
the answer is no
Do people take partisans seriously?
the answer is no
You actually think auto workers are his base? I don't see it. Does he want jobs to stay in America? Of course. Does he understand the overall costs? He doesn't care.
Did you actually think about what was written or did you knee jerk it.
BMW exports more cars from America than it imports , but shhh dont tell the anti free trade dunces
So?
Who is against free trade? Can you find enough dunces to make this comment worthwhile?
Trump is selling the idea of punitive tariffs. He is either wrong or right but it has to do with so called fair free trade.
Now will one of you ever deal with trade and VAT? How you think that works out? Is trading with a VAT country "free trade"?
Anyway there is and never will be a good economic argument against free trade. However I am not sure why economists are the only ones to be consulted. I can imagine that Germany would not have liked to get its fertilizer from South America in "free trade" which could be cut off. I would guess Russia would look at its national security concerns given its being targeted . How trust worth are our trading partners?
