Tell me which car is made in America from All American parts and I'll take three.
When I bought my car, my washing machine and dryer and my last tv, I wanted to buy from American
Companies, so I did... The parts to those things may have come from God only knows where though.
My husband worked at the Toyota factory (in Georgetown Kentucky- they got their parts from....American factories.) Yet, there are some Fords, Chevy's and Lincoln's (probably others) made
almost entirely overseas.
So sometimes, it's just not that simple. Toyota was one of the best employers that he ever had. Great pay, lots of time off, excellent benefits...and they did it all without a Union.
They are punitive tariffs. They are not supposed to be economically driven.

Apparently the intent of these tax-hikes is to score points from his base ahead of the mid-terms. They do not seem to understand THEY will have to pay the tax.

Whats American? My Chevy Silverado was made in Canada. Not anymore American than Chevy. If a Toyota was produced in any state is that American or foreign? Not so easy to say.
Dodge Charger, Challenger and Chrysler 300 are made in Canada.
Dodge Ram is made in Mexico.
Cadillac XTS, Lincoln MKT and MKX are made in Canada.
Chrysler Pacifica is made in Canada.
Several Toyota, and Honda models are made in Canada.
Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain are made in Canada.
Nissan Sentra is made in Mexico.
Ford Fusion and Chevy Silverado are made in Mexico.
