Ask yourself this. Why do so many Blacks vote Democrat? (By the way, if the only thing you can come up with is the "free stuff" excuse, don't bother responding).
black voters started voting Democrat in huge majority 35 years with FDR, prior to Democrats giving up segregation.

that seems to rule out the 'black voters vote Democrat b/c GOP is racist' theory.

FDR was the father of fiscal liberalism in this country.

also, given Democrats are constantly falsely accusing republicans of racism, some people are going to start to believe it. that's the point.

I've never seen such a fine example of mind control out there. The MSM sure knows how to make money off the very weak minded and the easily influenced.

Republicans can't solve every problem like crime but amnesty cities and open borders don't help and there's no doubt GOP has been tougher on crime over the years.

GOP school voucher idea to give parents a choice of schools has also been opposed by liberals.

liberals also oppose guns which doesn't help people living in high crime areas to protect themselves.

Republicans have traditionally been tougher on drugs than liberals. that's part of trump's criticism of open borders, drugs pouring in over the border.

Oh, I bet plenty of poor rural Oklahoma Republicans did their part to make Oklahoma a Republican state ever since 2010. I also bet many poor rural Oklahoma Democrats, who haven't changed their party registration vote Republican.

Wrong. The GOP managed to keep a large amount of Black voters until the 1960s. And something else. Go look up the 1948 DNC. Northern Democrats were pro-civil rights. The Southern Democrats walked out and formed the Dixiecrats. The GOP lost Blacks for good in 1964 when Barry Goldwater didn't support the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This is when Blacks STOPPED voting for the GOP in large numbers.

It isn't very difficult to convince alot of Black people that the Republican Party is racist when you listen to what Lee Atwater had to say.

Republican party has done better with blue collar whites, people who are working in lower paying jobs, in recent years, no doubt.

i think that has a lot to do with how radical Democrat party has become on abortion, energy policy, guns, healthcare, etc.

i don't buy a significant number of welfare whites vote Republican though.

we are the 'party of the rich', what democrats have always said until trump, a rich guy, won. now we are a bunch of poors. lol

They did lock up many more millions for drugs so you do have a point there.

Now, whether that is a good thing or not.....we can each judge.

There is NO WAY they are tougher on white collar or corporate crime nor government corruption...in fact, it's the complete opposite. They approve of and engage in such to an extent which is impossible to fathom. Only a tiny percentage of the "fall guys" even see indictments....but, even then, vastly more Republicans have been charged and indicted and found guilty of such crimes (look at the reagan and trump admins for two examples)....

So, yeah, if you want to lock up more pot smokers and dealers...vote in the GOP.

California, a disgrace?

No. 1 GDP output in the nation.
No. 5 GDP output in the world.
No. 1 state for MANUFACTURING.
No. 1 state for venture capital and growing new high tech businesses.
State budget has a $21 billion SURPLUS.

California is an economic juggernaut that is propping up Trump's claim to a "great economy."

So why is Trump bashing California? We passed a bill requiring all candidate to release their taxes in order to get on the primary ballot in 2020. He seems rather annoyed by it. Oh well.

Trump's prison reform thing is pretty liberal. I'm opposed to it but it is a pandering thing.

I could make a better case than liberals that DJT can't solve the problems he's been talking about. lol
