I'm against all waste of our tax dollars so you were saying? I recommend you start being civil in here and stop with the personal attacks.

Yes it is. You benefit from being a member of this society, so you also take on the responsibilities of being a member of a society. If you don’t want to contribute to our social contract there are lots of nice islands you could move to. Good luck.

You think someone saying you can’t afford an island is a “personal attack”? And we are the snowflakes??? 😂

WTH does someone being different than me have to do with anything? There are plenty of those here legally and that weren't bogus asylum seekers already so WTH are you talking about? I have no empathy for law breakers, foreign or domestic and certainly not bogus asylum seekers.

Why don't you stay on topic also?
You proved my point. Have no clue what empathy means. If you can’t see why it is sometimes important to interact with people different than you, to see other perspectives, so can be more empathetic, and in the example you brought asylum seekers, why people risk their lives to flee persecution, and how there are laws and international treaties that protect those kind of people... then yes you have no idea what empathy means. Get that therapist ASAP

Exactly. You are against of spending all tax dollars, so you are against transiting the roads paid with tax dollars, against schools (ok you made that point clear earlier), against public parks and facilities, so yes, better save to buy that island and build everything for yourself.

The social contract, another great fiction right up there with the easter bunny, tooth fairy and santa claus.

When people, and schools, are offered stuff for free, it's hard to blame them for taking it. My problem is with the federal government continuing to take tax money from people in places like Arizona or Maine and using it to provide free food for two years to my kids. We CHOSE to move to a place where hurricanes are pretty much guaranteed, so it's my belief that since we CHOSE to take that risk people in other places shouldn't be on the hook for my CHOICE to take that risk.

Obviously, this isn't something that is going to be unique. I'd bet good money the federal government gives away billions upon billions of dollar via such programs.

BTW, no, my kids are not eating the free lunches, we pack lunches for them each day.

What are you talking about? What people that are different than me? I interact with plenty of people that are citizens of our country that are not of the same race, skin color or ethnicity than myself. Stop playing the race card and making false assumptions about me. My objection is to illegal aliens and "bogus" asylum seekers. This topic isn't about that anyway it's about the taxpayer providing free lunches in schools.

Go away, if you're going to continue to play the race and not stay on topic!

Again, WTH are you talking about? I said I oppose spending our taxes on wasteful things. Roads, parks, etc. aren't one of them. One more personal attack and you'll be reported. This is getting ridiculous.

No, the poster I was replying to did. He said I seem to have a problem with people who look different than me and that's completely false. Try to keep up with the conversation will you, or butt out of it!
