Seems to me it says this:

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state and the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed....

Yes. That was a bad choice of words. Should be a thorough and consequential background investigation.

Hmmm, well we'll have to agree to disagree. If a person chooses to commit a crime, they know they are giving up their rights. Then they have no rights for anyone to infringe upon. On the other hand, I, as a lawful person, have my rights intact, and "they shall not be infringed"

Good discussion though......

Nope, there's a comma after the word state. On purpose.

I am not for gun control. I am for gun elimination, at least for certain types of gun.
You see; you clearly state you want to eliminate guns such as magazine fed semi-auto guns.

Tens of millions of Americans own semi-auto magazine fed rifles, and you want them eliminated.

If your own words still confuse you, find an adult and get them to work with you on your reading.

It doesn't matter. The premise, that a well-regulated militia matters in this day and age is preposterous. It is nothing but the vestige of a long, long gone era. The amendment is as anachronistic and inapplicable as statutes requiring a person to walk in front warning the approach of a horseless carriage.

Background checks are the skirts that spineless politicians hide behind. There should be no background checks.
You want a gun, you should be able to buy a gun. Just not a military grade crowd killer.

The founders intent was crystal clear, the right to bear arms applies to the people.

I did not say "such as". I want them eliminated. Period.

And I want the Guv to buy them back.
It's all there on your computer.
(Uh-oh... He's resorting to sarcasm and anger....)

Every gun is "military grade".

And as Charles Whitman proved, single fire bolt action hunting rifles can kill crowds.
