I went online to look at porn and did feel better about myself. I have a great figure and feel pretty hot most of the time. I would rather make my own porn than watch others. It is his fixation on youth and extreme beauty that is the problem. Yes, the most beautiful aren't enough anymore.

If you start choosing to eliminate one form of free speech just because you don't like it, what is to prevent another person from eliminating the free speech you want...

Agreed. Foul speech is subjective. I have heard many statements that don't use a single word of profanity that are more offensive than any profanity laced insults you'll hear in some movies. It's all so subjective, we're best to keep our hands off.

And how does one define pornography? It differs greatly among
different groups. Personally I find car bombs going off in Baghdad
every day killing innocent people more obscene than naked people and I
find it troubling that there's a bigger outcry about Janet Jackson at
the Super Bowl than there is about the poor treatment returning combat
wounded have received.

And nobody advocates children be given access, maybe it's really the
'clueless' parents that truly create the problem.
I believe I mentioned the hate of alcohol was my
problem, and I realize that. Nevertheless, I will always hate it and
refuse to be around it. That is my choice, and it pleases me well.

Comparing pornography to bombs is something to which I can't relate
and to me, the word obscene has nothing to do with war. Obscene defines
pornography. Obviously, the deaths in Baghdad are awful, and it's all
a shame. It is also a shame of a different sort when pornography is
rampant in this country and often, children are actually involved in the
acts due to sorry adults who have no morals or values. They're out for a quick buck, very pathetic.

Janet Jackson ~ She's an idiot and that is how I viewed her little
episode, idiotic.

No, it isn't the clueless parents that create the problem even though
they are naive and need to "get with it." Kids nowadays are subjected
to such trash everywhere that I doubt a parent can keep up with it all.
Let's face it; there are parents that don't care just like there are
adults that don't care about using children in porn videos and adults
that like to watch such. It's the people in this world and those who
thrive on such a booming business that are at fault.

I'm through talking about it now as it sickens me so, and I don't like
feeling that way. I have definitely learned a valuable lesson here. I
will never view another thread that is trashy. I thank you, burdell, for
that. If you hadn't responded to my short post, I may never have
"learned a valuable lesson."

I live my life one way and have my opinions. Others have different
views and values which I can't understand, but I will be much wiser sticking to mine.

I didn't have the time to expand on my answer before but foul speech like people that are into things like murder, child porn or molestation and the like are able to organize and share information and ideas on how to attack and assault others.

I don't think anybody here ever questioned your right to your opinion, it's when you write: "Yes, I agree and they can do away with the wine, beer, and casinos too." that I take exception.

One of the definitions I found for obscene is:

Obscenity has several connotations. Obscenity and its parent adjective obscene take their derivation from the Greek terms ob skene, which literally means "offstage". This is because violent acts in Greek theatre were committed off stage. It then descends into the Latin word obscenus, meaning "foul, repulsive, detestable", (possibly derived from ob caenum), literally "from filth". ...

I'll stand behind my previous stetement 100%.

Murder, child porn and molestation are not now and I don't think they have ever been covered under free speech.

The ACLU has fought for homosexual NAMBLA the man love boy website even though they instruct on how to obtain children to molest. The ACLU said it was their Free Speech rights.
