If it's true then well there goes the season. Tj and Sage will get us no where. I hate to sound like a downer but I really don't think we have a chance without Favre. Hey but why did his wife renew her gym membership in MN? << HA, just something silly they reported on the Star Trib one day. It is what it is.

I'll believe it come week 10 of the regular season if he's still not playing

would make the vikings slightly more likeable, but not all that much

If true, we'll still have all those memories from season past. I remember when he first came to us as a wide eyed 39 year-old. We watched him grow up and blossom as a 40 year-old right before our eyes. Good bye Brett and good luck until we see you again later this month.

After last year's NFC Championship game against the Saints, a photo of Favre's ankle was taken. This is the picture:

The reason he cited for not returning is the treatment of this ankle. Can you blame him for not returning?

It hasnt been confirmed and the team along with teammates, some that have spoke with him in the past couple hours are saying he has not told them he is retiring.

So till it is confirmed by either the Vikings or Favre himself. I'm not buying it. He hasnt announced it on his official web site like he did before

He hasnt made a comment him nor his agent.

This is all over a rumor of a text to a teammate but no word on who that teammate is and teammates thats talked to him the past couple hours deny he told them hes retiring

Espn is proving to be a joke right now. They will be talking to someone about favre retiring and then while thats happening the ticker on the bottom will say that neither Favre nor the team has confirmed this.

Then some announcers are saying Favre is retiring and then say its not confirmed yet hes retiring.

They speak with a teammate that texted Favre 15 mins before the interview and the teammate says Favre didnt tell me hes retiring. Yet they continue to state that Favre texted teammates saying hes retiring.

All this over a rumor of a text to teammates but no teammate is coming forward to say It was me.

I also doubt he would tell a teammate before Chilly

What lame ass reporting. Who reports this crap if it's not confirmed? Glad there is still a glimmer of hope.

Any chance nobody is speaking up because the team isn't prepared to give a unified statement? C'mon, athletes lie or deflect attention all the time. You can't always trust anything these guys say. It's funny they're only telling the truth when it's something you believe... ESPN is right way more than they're wrong. And they aren't the only one reporting it.
