Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The thread parent should be flattered if he's attractive to guys (and presumably girls).
Right. You can't stop people from looking at you in public unless you decide to wear a burka, and you can't control if other people find you attractive. As long as they're not being inappropriate (which isn't the same as you not appreciating their appreciation) just ignore them or politely decline.
