Actually, that would be a HUUUUGE compliment. The gay guys I know have ridiciulously high standards when it comes to looks in other dudes.

Typical machismo bull**** is why some guys get all weird about it....... I'm not gay, but it's certainly not the end of the world if some gay dude hit on me.... I wouldn't get all bent about it, just explain to my musicals appreciating friend that I didn't swing that way....

This is how I look at it. I don't get many compliments, so the very few times I've been complimented by gay men I was extremely flattered.

If a gay guy ever complimented me on my appearance, I'd be pretty f'ing shocked since I never get complimented on my looks. I wouldn't make a big deal of being hit on; I'd just politely decline and be on my way.
