Don't you figure you wife would have similar sentiments in the other direction? Do you still look like Tarzan or is there a bit of a pot belly now? Etc., etc.
Yeah, Accufit, you're probably the oldest guy she's ever slept with.
Oregon is the only state where it is actually illegal to pump your own gas. Stationers in other states love to see cars with Oregon license plates drive in. They take bets on how long they'll sit in their cars, waiting for an attendant, only to find out there isn't one. Mean peeps in this world, I tell ya.
Metholiate was the red stuff that had some sting to it. Mercurochrome didn't sting, as I recall. Also, the official treatment for a bee sting was Adolph's Meat Tenderizer.

Love it.
I'm in Texas so can't say for sure - isn't there some requirement or other in Oregon or Washington that smacks down self-service? I'm curious as to how that's working out.
Yes it is illegal to pump your own gas in Oregon but you don't get the gas station attendants fawning all over your car. Some will clean your windows and check your oil. It depends upon where you go. People from out of town hate it but most people here don't mind because they are used to it.
Now they have sheets made of micro fiber. They feel weird.
I miss ice cream cake roll. I think you can get it back in the Midwest but I haven't seen it in the PNW where I live. I also miss creamsicles and dreamsicles. And mailboxes were on every third corner or so. And real soda fountains. And ice cream that didn't taste like air. And cursive writing. And taking a trip by air was fun. And parents weren't so involved in their kids' world. And size 12 wasn't considered a plus size and size 0 normal.

When I was in high school, through my late twenties, I weighed 110 lbs. and wore size 7 jeans......now I am almost 60....nearly 20 pounds heavier and wear a size 8.
