Only a few years ago she was a university professor. She doesn't come from a wealthy family. She's not your typical politician. I find her to be a very authentic person. Straight talker.

She's almost apolitical, of neither party. She seems to think for herself and is not afraid to be outspoken. She is fair minded isn't influenced by people trying to buy her. I wish she could be President.

People can ridicule her all they want but she's a good person--and that's rare in a politician. Maybe that's why she won't run for President--you have to give in to some degree of corruption to become President.

I live in Massachusetts. Surely you're joking when you write "she's almost apolitical." For those of you who want to live in a socialist nanny state, she's your candidate. For the rest of us, she's a disaster.

That said, I agree with you that all politicians are fundamentally dishonest and corrupt. I trust none of them.

Being in the same state as you are, I'm curious to know exactly what she's implemented that has been a disaster, and how exactly that has impacted you personally.

Same state here too. Got to shake her hand on two occasions. I feel lucky to call her my senator.

I am libertarian, which means I want as little government as possible and as much freedom as possible. There can be no personal freedom without economic freedom. Her votes to increase taxes, support Obamacare, and increase financial and other regulations threaten my economic freedom.

Her liberal, socialist agenda is aimed at penalizing successful people like me. She is the epitome of the Obama Santa Claus state that rewards bad behavior at my expense. That makes her a hero in the minds of many people in Massachusetts, apparently including you. It's tough to dislike Santa Claus, except if you're the guy who is coerced by an incompetent government to fund him.

Benjamin Franklin summed up the dilemma when he said:

“Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote."

No, but I think it SHOULD pass. If we can give Exxon tax subsidies so large that it doesn't have to pay income taxes, we should be able to give a small amount to SS beneficiaries in a year they don't get a COL raise (even tho the COL did go up).

Capitalism requires all economic levels, from high to low (and there will always be high to low), to function. Economic advancement requires economic opportunity, or else there is oppression and societal dysfunction. You and I do not exist in a vacuum by ourselves, we are members of a society. Bad behavior? You mean the druggies and those who do not want to work? What percent of the lower classes is that? You presume all?

I have to laugh at those who would obliterate the lower classes. Who picks your lettuce and processes your food, who services you in restaurants and hotels, who cuts your hair and tends your old body in a nursing home? Where do libertarians get their service providers? Lowest wages and no healthcare for them?
