I've had the best and worst burgers of my life at In and Out Burger...fries are always good though.

I really like Tioli's Crazy Burger because of their creative and delicious menu (check out all the exotic meats and tasty sauces). I especially like their half beef/half lamb burger with the tzatziki sauce. Long Horns is good if you like a 1970's style dinner burger, Rocky's does good old fashioned all American burger, Hobad's for the giant greasy fried burger with everything for not a lot of money, Wisk'n Ladel for the fancy haute cuisin burger. Oh, and the Linker does nothing but local food (everything from with in 100 miles of downtown) so it is pricy but you can get a great 100% local burger where the meat, wheat, cheese, and everything else is all 100% locally grown.

Tioli's Crazy Burger people! Eat it, live it, love it.

YouTube - Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives, Tiolis Crazee Burger, San Diego

Sadly, some person whined so they discontinued their rattlesnake burger which was a personal favorite of mine.

Oh yeah! My dad watched that on the Food Network when it aired and text me to go try it for him. I still have yet to do that!

I'm going to either checkout Tioli's or Hodad's today. I'll report back soon.

I love a good burger! Places I like are:

Neighborhood
Tioli's Crazee Burger
The Waterfront (Cheeseburger, cheeseburger)
In n' Out
Jayne's Gastropub (Niman Ranch beef...yum)
Burger Lounge
Hodad's

Need to check out Rocky's, though

As a long time browser of this forum, I finally joined just to respond to this post because nobody has mentioned the one spot that I have come to love. Bare Back Grill! It was voted best burger in San Diego for both 2006 & 2007 as well as "best resturant" in 2007. New Zealand burgers, 100% organic beef ground daily, and organic locally farmed veggies. If you do not live around the P.B area you probably have never heard about it. It has become so popular that they just opened a new location in Downtown as well. I have had coworkers praise me for introducing them to this place. You will never go back to In N' Out and those other big chain burger places again. Along with the burgers, they also have the best fries I have ever tasted in my life. They use some sort of secret seasoning that is addicting and they wont leave your hands greasy. I recommend all to go try this place.
