Hello and I agree on the Trader Joes. My daughter handles their workers compensation claims in California so I told her when she meets with the brass at Traders to throw in a good word for Tri VCities. We really miss them.

Default People of Tri-cities

I am considering moving to the area and know that the Tri-cities is a smaller area. Can anyone comment how the locals feel about outsiders coming to the area?

Thanks,

Traveling Man

This area had grown alot, especially Pasco having about 20,000 new residents from 2000 to 2006. Outsders are fine.
Also we're not that small. Metro pop. is about 200,000. Not huge, but not small either.
Welcome to the Tri-Cities

Default Tri-Cities

I have lived here in the Tri-Cities for over 35+ years. My oldest son graduated from Pasco High. Never once had an issue at his school. It is actually ranked one of the safest. My next son is now a Freshman at Pasco. Still no issues at his school. My next son is an 8th grader at Mcloughlin Middle school. No issues with his school. My youngest son in the Two-Way Dual language program at Maya Angelou and no issues at his school. My point is........every school in every town has situations.

I think that the Tri-Cities as a whole is the greatest place to live. Each of the cities has great neighborhoods and some not so great. You just have to find out what works best for you and your family.

Keep in mind that Tri-Cities has a nuclear facility which
has risk with radioactive waste or even the possibly
of a threat of a terrorist attack on the facility. Being
exposed to radiation doesn't sound like paradise.

Far from.......I have the best gifts that one person could ever be given. The quality of life that this area has to offer is beyond the bay area. Have you ever visited the Tri-Cities? Bet your two cents would get you further here...........

Been to the Tri-Cities several times. Everyone has different like's. For you it may be the best kept secret and for someone else it might be a hell-hole and would never move to the desert with no greenery except for golf courses.
