I used to like him, now I can't even watch him.
Perhaps his way of holding the mic is a way to distinguish himself from others. After a time it will just be something that is 'Scotty' and no longer weird.

I didnt know there was suppose to be a proper way to hold the mic

Apparent these Scotty haters didnt watch last week as for both performances he held the mic straight.

He best singer out of what is left and will be in the final two.

I think Scotty is the best singer of all the contestants this year. I've always said that he and James will be the two finalists.

I admire James for what he's overcome and I think he has a good voice but he's more a performer than a singer (in my opinion).

Good for him for standing his ground. That was not right to do that to him.
Last week was not the first season Ryan has asked a contestant to choose between the two groups. I can't remember what former contestants did, but I wish Ryan would stop putting these kid on the spot.

Most contestants would not choose a group at all and stay sitting in the middle of the two groups.

I never said there was a proper way to hold the mic. I simply stated that the way he looks when he sings and the way he chooses to hold the mic is annoying. I'm not speaking for anyone else but myself on that. I would think that's obvious.

I stopped watching Scotty about 2 weeks ago, I just hated looking at him.

He's a great singer, sure. But as an actual star I think James has got a lot more of "it" than Scotty does.

Yes, James is a good performer -- but I dont think he sounds any different than many other performers out there. Nothing about his voice really stands out. In contrast, Scotty has an awesome voice -- and he can only get better as he gets older.

actually, in the early years some contestants were intimidated into choosing a group. you could tell that they didnt want to do so but they didnt have the courage to say NO -- which, as I posted earlier, is what Ryan should say when the producers tell him to say that.
